EOC Housing Rehabilitation programs provide assistance for correcting existing and developing code deficiencies such as poor and leaking roofs; inadequate and unsafe electrical, plumbing and heating systems; crumbling foundations and other structural problems. At present, two geographically targeted rehabilitation programs are available in addition to a Rehabilitation/Resale program and an emergency repair program. In addition to its regular rehabilitation activities, lead inspection and risk assessment services are available. Lead-paint hazards are a particular concern in Warren and Forest Counties where the median age of housing is around 1958 -1959. According to the Center for Disease Control, the majority of houses built before 1950 contain substantial amounts of lead paint.
