HOMEOWNER & RENTAL ASSISTANCE
Program Offerings
HUD Housing Counseling
- Who is eligible? Open to residents of Warren and Forest Counties.
- What we do: We have a trained staff person able to help counsel clients on budgeting, particularly budgeting for housing.
Pre-Housing Counseling
- Who is eligible? Open to residents of Warren and Forest Counties.
- What we do: Pre-purchasing counseling for those who are obtaining a Pennsylvania Housing Finance Loan.
Emergency Food & Shelter Program
- Who is eligible? This is a needs based program available to residents of Warren and Forest Counties.
- What we do: A set amount of funding is given to the agency each year by the Department of Homeland Security to support the purchase of food for soup kitchens and/or provide emergency utility assistance.
Homeless Assistance Program (HAP)
- Who is eligible? Open to Warren County residents, at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, who are homeless or near homeless. Near homeless refers to those behind on rent and are facing homelessness. Must have an eviction notice.
- What we do: Provide emergency rental assistance with either the first month's rent or a security deposit OR the funds to remain in current living situation.
